Professor Patrick McKinley Brennan is a Professor of Law and the John F. Scarpa Chair in Catholic Legal Studies at Villanova School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prof. Brennan, who attended Yale College with Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, will be discussing the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court seat, recently vacated by retired Justice Anthony Kennedy, with Msgr. Sullivan. They will also talk about the history of Catholics on the Supreme Court and what role – if any – a judge’s religious views can and do play in judicial deliberations.

On this Labor Day weekend in 2018, Gerardo discusses the situation of the day laborers he organizers in the South Bronx and what assistance Catholic Charities provides to them to ensure that they get the training and assistance they need to succeed.
